Let Your Representatives Know Your Opinion

If you would like your health insurance to pay for acupuncture treatments please take a moment and follow the easy instructions below. Medicare coverage is the first step in the process that will lead to widespread individual or group insurance coverage for acupuncture. If you are retired or ever plan to retire Medicare coverage of acupuncture may make a significant contribution to your health.

HR646 is a house bill that will include acupuncture in Medicare and make it mandatory for acupuncture to be covered in the health insurance programs of ALL federal employees (this is also the insurance that may be extended as an option for the uninsured).

Making your opinion count will take less than three minutes (I did it in 2 ½!)

To support this bill:

1. Click this link to: www.aaaomonline.org (American Association of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine).
2. Click on the logo with The Capital building on it called "Unite America" found in the left margin (this will take you to the "AOM Unite America – AAAOM's National Advocacy Platform" page).
3. Find the "Rally Congress" phrase in the second line and click on it (Hyperlink).
4. Click the "CONTACT CONGRESS" link.
5. Read the letter.
6. Put your zip code in the box, click “look up your reps”, and your representatives will be automatically selected.
7. ID yourself with address and email.
8. Click to preview letter.

9. Click “send emails” and the letter will go out to your Senators and your Congressional Representative.

10. In addition to the electronic transmission, AAAOM will print out each letter and hand deliver it.
